The beginning of summer in the mountains means road bikers--everywhere!!! I am never a person who gets upset at other drives, but lately I have found myself screaming at roadbikers...if my window is open, I scream at them. I don't know who I have become and I thought that by informing my fellow bloggers of my issues with roadbikers, you might offer some wisdom for controlling my Roadbiker Rage.
Issue #1: Every Road Biker wears a $70.00 bike jersey. Ok, I could understand this if you were in Texas where the heat and humidity are overwhelming and you needed it for some sweat repelling. But in Colorado....it never gets warmer than 90 degrees and a little sweat never hurt anybody. I hate any sport where people have to 'fit' the image.
Issue #2: They ride over the line...see picture. I don't care if there is gravel...get your butt over.
Issue #2b: Because bikers are over the line, I am bound to hit one.
Issue #2c: The hit biker is bound to be seriously injured and file a law suit against me.
Issue #3: Do you ever see a bike getting pulled over by a cop?
Issue#4: They put stickers on their car that say, "Road Biking isn't a crime."....no, it's not, but it is a death wish.
Issue #5: Who thinks it is fun to lean way over and then crank your head up to see where you are going anyways? I prefer a cruiser.
Well, I feel better already.
