Hey everyone. So, yes, it's true...I'm going to be moving to College Station sometime next month. I am going to be on staff at CBC...but it's covert so I can't really divulge what I'm going to be doing. Ok, not really...ask me if you want to know.
I went down this weekend for exactly 24 hours to figure out a living situation and I'm grateful to say that I'm going to be living with 3 great girls (ok, so I haven't met 2 of them yet). They are all graduated and working, which was exactly what I was looking for. It should be super fun.
Last night I taught some of the girls my hip-hop moves. One of my favorite things in Dallas has been this hip-hop class I have been going to at my gym. The teacher is INCREDIBLE. She actually teaches the Dallas Mavericks and some of the Cowboys dancers as well. She's amazing. If CBC doesn't work out I'm going to contact Beyonce and see if she needs more back up dancers....or maybe I'll go on So you think you can dance...the options are limitless!! All I have to say is that I think heaven is going to be a 24/7 dance party. Bring it on.
More to come...

sketchy business...

As you might know, Ross is known to accumulate junkie cars and then try to sell them. Our current venture has been to sell Brown Sugar. She's a 70's brown Dodge. We finally had a guy who wants to buy it at the asking price of 900 big ones and he shows up with only 300 dollars. Now, we know better than to just let the guy take the car and pay the rest later b/c of runaway past buyers. So, Ross told the guy he had 2 weeks to come up with the rest of the money and we would keep the car until then. Today, we were in Denver helping Ross' mom pack for a trip when we get a call from this dude saying he rode the bus to our house and wants to buy the truck. Ross told him we wouldn't be home for another 7 hours and told him to go home. The guy said he was going to stay around minturn. Great. We finally roll up to our house at 8:55pm and sure enough, there he is....drunk as a sailor. He had been drinking during those 7 hours and tried to blame his drunkenness on Ross. It is now 9:40 and the guy just left and is hanging out down the street. Ross finally had to call the cops (ok, the chief..it's a small town.) b/c Ross gave him back his 300 dollars he would not leave. I won't even go into what he tried to talk to Ross and our front house roommates about during that time. I mean, this selling crappy cars business is a sketchy thing. I'm scared for my life....ok, not really, just scared from Brown Sugar's life.

Nothin like a good dog...
I'm making a post already....
What up y'all? Remember me? KK?? So, I don't really have a computer readily available, nor do I have one at work...so posting is a bit harder for me these days. I must admit that I haven't looked at the blog page in quite sometime...therefore have not had a chance to defend myself or tell my side of the story. I have a couple updates on my life that might interest you, though...
1. I seriously have NO recollection of the "bike signaling incident" I promise I would own up to it if I remembered. Promise. P.S. the shocks on my bike were ridiculous and my sister rides that ghetto bike up at OU.
2. I got asked out by a 19 year-old while working at Starbucks. HA! He obviously didn't realize I was 26 years old...or maybe he did...I mean look at Demi and Ashton. P.S. I don't date teenagers.
3. I went to the circus last week for the first time in like 15 years or more...it was super fun. P.S. Clowns are just freaky.
4. Yes, the rumors are true that I will be moving to College Station for a new job...details to follow shortly.
5. I too once was a "BUS DRIVA" and got some insane stories to go with it. Some of my favs include "MISS KELLY YO HER (translation: Hair) IS UUUUUUUUUUGLY!!!!" and "Oooooohhh, that Damarcus is double-dipped." (translation: he's super black...like double dipped chocolate). Nothing like the famous cut-down "Girl, YOU ashy!!!" And who could forget the infamous "TWISTA" story. I'll save that one for another time.
6. As a side note...it is currently almost 3am and I can't sleep. Did I mention I have to be at work at 6:30 a.m.??? Hey, at least it's not 4:30 a.m., which is when I have to be at work on Friday.
PEACE OUT! KK

Speaking of Ja Rule...
Cheese Wagon Days...
Since I'm taking a walk down memory lane with my stories lately, I thought I would tell a few about the old bus driver days...I had two kids on my bus who wore Insane Clown Posse t-shirts everyday. One day it was cold and I thought no ICP shirts today and sure enough there was and Insane Clown Posse sweatshirt!!! Anyways, Freddie was one of the kid's names and he was throwing paper at all the kids on the bus. Being the ignorant bus driver I was, I didn't realize this until a girl comes up and says, "If you don't do something about Freddie throwing paper, then I will." So, like a good bus driver, the next day I pulled the bus over and gave a lecture about how stupid it would be if a high school kid actually had to get written up for throwing paper. A short while later, I dropped Freddie off at his stop and he walked in front of the bus and stopped. With a scary look on his face, the brought his hand up to his neck and made a slashing motion like he was threatening to kill me or something. I seriously thought, "Great, I'm going to go out as a bus driver...." What did I do? I used my bus driver power and ran him over! No, just kidding. I wrote that piece up! The next few days old buddy Russ rode on the bus to make sure everything was cool...and it was.
Ok, sorry 2 about ICP kids--the other kid, I can't remember his name. He was a little more quiet and dressed a bit more Gothic (as if ICP is not Gothic enough, I know). One day he got off the bus and walked across the front of the bus and held up a sign he had made that said, "Honk if you think I'm sexy." What was I to do in this situation...the thought of honking did bring sexual harassment by the bus driver to my mind...but then I said, what the heck and Honked! Me and that kid were tight ever since.
Another crowd I loved on the cheese wagon were the black kids...they were my favorite. There was a whole little group on my bus and they were the 'cool' ones who kinda ruled the bus. No one ever seemed to know my name on the bus, so they just called me Ms. Bus Driver. I would always get the request to turn the radio station to the rap station by hearing, "Ms. Bus Driver, Ms. Bus Driver, can you turn it to 97.1?" I think I will always remember that radio station. The most popular song at the time of my bus drivin days was that song by Ja Rule that goes, "where would I be without my baby...the thought alone might break me...and I don't want to go crazy...every thug needs a lady..." This one kid just loved the song and would walk up and down the isle with his sweet walk and sing it. I think I should have told him to sit down more than just watching him cause I thought he was awesome!
Oh, sweet memories...too bad I only did that for one semester. Kel probably has a lot better stories!

Puffy Face...

I saw this movie for the first time this weekend and it is hands down the saddest movie ever. I cried for the last 45 mintues and my face was really puffy afterwards. As I was watching it I realized I had read the book during my boring days at the Ritz...I don't think I cried at all reading the book!
Sometimes I really shock myself...
Ok, this isn't me but...this weekend I tried wakeboarding for the first time and I got up on the first try!!! I totally thought I was going to be frustrated and never learn. I'm pretty much sweet at it already:)I've also decided that I am mad at everyone I have ever gone water sporting with who told me skiing is easier than wakeboarding...liar!!!
If this doesn't make you want to be a black male, I don't know what does...
Diana's recent post inspired me to post one of my favorite clips from Stomp The Yard. Ross and I just love this movie...we wish we were black so we could dance all sweet like this dude.

I've finally found you!!!
After 4 years...Creamy Coconut goodness has arrived in Colorado!!! I used to eat these in college and loved them. I've been looking for them ever since I moved to CO. Last week, I was a Walmart and out of the corner of my eye, I saw them. I was so excited, I bought 2 packs. I probably need to go back and buy more real soon!

Then there was my bike story...
One day in college, Kristen and I were riding our bikes together. Once we came to the beginning of the circle where the buses drop off, Kristen went left and I went right. For those of you who have been to A&M...picture with me...turning right there is a bike lane that goes around the circle with a curb on the right...you will also know about the cross walk and the stop sign shortly after.
Well, this is how it went....At the crosswalk a dude was crossing, I said, "hey" and he said, "hey." 15 feet later is the stop sign where a car was almost to a stop. Instead of obeying the biking rules, I decide not to stop and speed up. Before I knew it, the passanger side door of the car opened covering the entire bike lane! I couldn't do anything and I nailed it!
The car had some international students in it and they felt so bad, but we couldn't really communicate very well. I was embarrased by the bus that had stopped to observe the situation along with all the people (and I'm sure the crosswalk dude), so I just peddled away.
About 30 yards later, I realized my foot had gotten caught between the bottom of the door and my peddle. It hurt really bad and later in the day I went to Beutel to get it checked out. At Beutel there were about 15 people waiting for prescriptions and I had to hobble by all of them to get a seat. The last person asked me what happened and litterally everyone on the row leaned down to hear.
A fond memory

So, the other day I was telling one of my favorite memories of Rockstar Kel and Yuna...let me share....
In college, Yuna and I were riding the A&M bus home together...we were the only two people on the bus who knew each other so we were talking and talking and I'm sure everyone on the bus was listening. As the bus was starting to slow for our stop at Park Place, who comes along side the bus but Rockstar Kel. Yuna says, "Look, there's Kelly." At that moment everyone looked out the side of the bus--some people even stood up a bit. Not 2 seconds later, Kelly (who had some mean shocks on her bike) starts to strongly and slowly slide her left arm up the middle of her back and before we knew it, that arm shot out to the right like you wouldn't believe. That's my Kelly--safety first!!! It doesn't sound that funny, but Yuna and I laughed so hard and couldn't stop for the next hour. My favorite part is that Kelly still denies she made the strong hand motion. Love it!!!
You were a kid in the 80's if you had one...

A blog for Stacy
When I lived with my friend Stacy, we always checked out the t-shirts on urbanoutfitters.com b/c they were hilarious. When we lived together, we had a strong suspicion that our neighbors sold drugs. On urbanoutfitter.com we found a t-shirt that said, "Neighborhood Watch...GUNNA GET YOU SUCKA." Thinking it was quite fitting, we spent one night making our own t-shirt that said this.
Anyway, today this picture came to me in an email and I thought this was a shirt for Stacy! I love it!! (it reads: IF YOU SEE DA POLICE...WARN A BROTHER).

A Jack Story...
My mom sent me an email today with this story about nephew Jack, I thought I had to share it.
"Jack was so cute. This morning I was showing him some pictures and videos
from the trip on the computer. We watched the videos Dad took of Ross rock
crawling in his truck. I told Jack his dad needs to take him to CO so Ross
can take him out in his truck.
We just dropped Jack and Emmylou off at the Dr's office. Dad said it he
wished he was back in CO because it is so hot. Without skipping a beat,
Jack said, "I want to go to Colorado and go in Uncle Ross' truck. Uncle
Ross made his truck." You don't think they are paying attention, but he
listens to everything you tell him."

Turn Around...don't drown
This is literally what those electronic signs on the highway (that sometimes say stuff like click-it, or ticket) say. This afternoon is the first time I have seen the sun in a while. Who knew it...they have monsoon season in TX. Oh yeah, Happy 4th.
