Moved in and moving on up...

So, exactly a week ago I moved to College Station...yep, that's right...College Station. I'm taking a job here at CBC that I'm super excited about. So, this is my room...and you may be wondering...hmmm...why is there a sink in the corner and what...is that an A/C unit? Well, I am currently living in the sun room of the house because there are only 3 bedrooms. But, let me just say that it's awesome. I do, however, have bigger and better plans for this room once I move out of it and into a bedroom in the winter. (one of the roomies is getting married). Guess what's it's going to be folks....a DANCE STUDIO!!! That's right...a dance studio. I'm going to buy mirrors and start teaching hip-hop. It's even got the cool studio lights and everything. Granted, this isn't my house and yes...I still need to get all the roommies approval...but I'm sure it will be no problem. I joined Gold's Gym and the "hip-hop" class was just disappointing. I guess I did have sky high expectations since my instructor in Dallas was INCREDIBLE...so I'm just gonna have to take things into my own hands and show College Station what's up.

THRILLER BABY

Ok. This pic is from my birthday celebration with Curtis, Erin & Jonathan, Jared and Chris. And guess what Curtis is doing...that's right...he's busting out with some Thriller moves. So, apparently his youth group decided to remake the video and since Curtis is like the only black man around...he had to be Michael of course. I was pretty impressed. So, next time you see Curtis...make sure he shows you his moves.

Bree Van De Camp

Ross and I were so in Asssspen yesterday and walking down the street I saw this lady and I was like, "I know her!" She looked at me like, 'Crap, she knows who I am.' And then I realized, it's a Desperate Housewife!!! Bree Van De Camp! I called my mom to tell her of the celebrity spotting and my sister n law asked if she has twins with her and I said yes!!! I'm so in the high life. :)

And this is why I never registered for China...

The other day I was putting our dishes away when I noticed one had all these little metal specks stuck in it...I wonder who has been eating their lunch in the garage????

Happy Trails To You...

Brown Sugar left us this week for a new home. She was purchased by a guy who wants to store his snowmobile in the bed. Her glorys are over. She served us well. We called her Brown Sugar because she was so sweet to us! Booo Hooo. Stay tuned for the new addition....Woody!!!

Uncle Buck...

Earlier in the summer, we had this buck who would come around our backyard almost everyday. One night, we were sitting on the back porch eatting dinner, when he walked down and came about 20 feet from us. He looked at us and just kept walking and eating, looking up occasionally to make sure we were of no hard. It was so cool. After that day, Ross cut the grass and we haven't seen him since. We named him Uncle Buck, here he is...

My longest hospital visit...

Just incase any of you were wondering why my blogging streak ended, it's b/c I was in the hospital for 4 days. It all began 2 Fridays ago when I was using a carpet cleaner to clean out the new, but old, Jeep Grand Wagoneer Woody (that's for another blog)...I was fine until about 2 hours later when I started itching and feeling hot...then I started noticing rashing on my arms and stomach...and my throat felt like it was closing up. I've never had an allergic reaction, but my mom has and this was sounding similar, so I told Ross to take me to the ER thinking they would give me a shot and I'de be fine. We went to the ER and they did just that and I was just fine when I left. In the middle of my sleep that night, I woke up to the two worst things that come out both ends (sorry for that picture) and a rash that was even worse. I also had really bad stomach pain and I pretty much described how I felt to Ross with a cuss word. That morning I went to the doctor...he gave me prescriptions...I got really bad while waiting for Ross to get them filled--I had the rash everywhere...legs, feet, hands, arms, face, neck....it looked like raised bugbites that had merged together. Ross got home with the med and of course, I couldn't keep them down, so it didn't get any better. We went back to the doctor, he gave me shots, I got better and he sent me home. I got home and it got bad again, so the doctor told me to go back to the ER...I did and they kept me there for 3 more days. I got worse until Monday when my body just decided to be done with it and it all cleared up and I felt better and I went home on Tuesday. Ross was very good at being there for me while I was a poofy mess--it must have been boring b/c I just slept the whole time. No one ever found out what was wrong with me. The 'Virus Specialist' who saw me (if you can even call him that) tried to diagnose me with the Parvo Virus (which is what dogs gets)...but the results came THIS WEEK negative. I tried to tell him it was the carpet cleaner but he just disreguarded it. Weird. Here are some pictures, enjoy..... Me with a poofy face eating my only solids on the 'clear' diet. I was going to hit someone if they brought that chicken broth one more time. Woolfy was there in support.

My 2 Favorite Quotes of the week...

1. We were at a 2 year old's b-day party on Sunday when the Domino's pizza lady showed up with food. When giving the man the bill, she says, "Put your John Henry right there." The saying is John Hancock, gah.
2. I walked into the grocer the other day and these two guys were there who had apparently just finished work. The one dude says to the other dude, "I think I'm gunna get a burrito here or something." The other guy, being completely serious says, "Na man, we are gunna go to MAC Donald's later and get ourselves some real meat." Wow...I don't believe I have heard real meat and McDonalds in one sentence in atleast 10 years.

The pressure...

My question to all the dudes out there is, "Does your barber pressure you to purchase salon quality hair care products? Do they drill you as to every product you are using on your hair?"

I seriously hate being a girl at the hair salon...I just want a stinkin hair cut, don't ask me these questions!! I am not paying 18 dollars for shampoo...walmart is just fine, thank you! I don't care if you roll your eyes when I tell you I use Walmart products...ga.

Cingular...AT&T...Cingular...AT&T...

In college, I had Cingular. Hated it.
Moved to Colorado and got AT&T.
AT&T changed to Cingular. I have called Cingular with different complaints and the phone answer people always agree with me that Cingular sucks.
Cingular just changed to AT&T. I thought AT&T was a past time.
Does anyone see a problem with the cost effectiveness of Cingular changing all their signs across the country to AT&T. Let's just raise our customer's bill so we can have money to change out our signs every 2 years. That's neat.

You know you married a motor head when...

The other day I was walking down the street and one of these pasted by and in my head I said, "huh, a Unimog." I KNOW WHAT A UNIMOG IS!!! Is that weird?

What's the next best thing to Stomp the Yard?

The Break hip hop dance and beat box group at Vail Hot Summer Nights Concert! This was so awesome, I think I'm going to have to practice every night. Anybody know of any good hip hop instructional dance videos? I already know how to do the chest pop from watching the Bring It On 2 extra features. This group was from NYC...dang it...that must be a pre-requisite to dancing like this. Too bad I grew up in the white no rhythm woodlands.
