The other night, Walt asked me how Funky V originated. I couldn't for the life of me remember.
Driving home that night, it popped into my head and I thought I should share.
Kristen Nunnelly has a friend named Joel whom I had met once with Kristen and some of her other high school friends at his cross country meet where he passed out and it turned into a 'Days of Our Lives' episode(but that's another blog). (That was an extremely long run-on)
That following summer, I was working at Redcloud and a few of us wanted to go rafting. Joel was a guide at Noah's Ark, so we went there and requested him as our guide. As we walked up, I hear, "FUNKY V!"....that's how it all began...a mere acquaintance gave me a name that stuck. Thanks Joel!

Just for the record: In college, my dad heard us refer to you as "Funky V" and thought it was a great name. The funny thing is that he forgot the exact wording and would ask me how "Freaky V" was doing. I just had to share cause I still get a laugh out of it. Love ya, Freaky V.
